our work is not yet done...Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your support made AIDS Walk 2008 a great success, but our work is not done. We still have more funds to raise! The good news: We can raise an additional $250,000 with your help! The great news: You can still have the month of November to help us get there. AID Atlanta and the other benefitting organizations are seeing an increasing number of individuals and families coming through our doors seeking assistance. Imagine dealing with the uncertainties of this economy AND the added burden of living with HIV or AIDS. We know that these are tough economic times for almost everyone, but that's exactly when your help is needed most. Every dollar you raise will go to help someone in our community improve the quality of their lives. Giving, especially during these tough times, will help improve the quality of yours. Additionally, the person who raises the largest amount of money ($1,000 minimun) between now and November 30, will win two roundtrip tickets to any destination in the world where Delta Airlines flies(some restrictions apply, contact AID Atlanta for more details) We are so thankful to all those who raised money and came out to support for our efforts to stop the spread of HIV in our community. To show our gratitude, you are cordially invited to the 2008 AIDS Walk wrap-up party happening on November 19, from 6:30p.m. - 8:30p.m. at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. Our friends from Bristol Myers Squibb are providing the refreshments for the event. All you have to do is bring your enthusiasm. Thank you again for showing you care about our community, and for proving that EVERY LIFE DESERVES HOPE! See you on November 19 at Park Tavern. Denise Stokes 2008 AIDS Walk Spokesperson If somebody asks you why...
The Atlanta metropolitan area has the 6th highest number of AIDS cases in the United States. An increasing number of your friends, neighbors, and co-workers are being infected each year. These facts are disturbing but there is comfort in the fact that there are several organizations in the area that provide much needed care to those infected with HIV. AID Atlanta and other provider organizations need your support. With your help, we can make Atlanta a better and healthier place to live.
